EV Charger First Month Stats

Printer-friendly version
Curious to know what kind of use the new EV Charging station at the Brisbane Village Shopping Center has been getting?
Below are starts for its first month of activation (2/14/18-3/14/18):
  • 60 unique drivers
  • 2,590 total kWh dispensed, an average of 89.3 kWh/day
To meet the Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s (BAAQMD) goal of 75,000 kWh in 3 years (the City received a grant through BAAQMD, which largely funded the charging station), we need to average ~68.5 kWh/day, so we are tracking ~30% above that currently.
And if you're curious about the individual charging sessions, here are some more stats:
  • 220 total sessions, 7.59 average sessions per day
  • Average session length is 26:45 minutes, with 91+% of sessions 45 minutes or less
ChargePoint estimates we’ve avoided 1,075 kg of GHG emissions, the equivalent of planting 28 trees and letting them grow for 10 years.  Note: These estimates are very general and likely low for us considering our 100% GHG-free energy through PCE ECO100.
For those with Combo- or CHAdeMO-compatible EV's, keep charging away!
