Brisbane, CA -- The City of Brisbane will hold a General Municipal Election on November 3, 2020. Three seats on the five-member City Council will be up for election. Incumbents Karen S. Cunningham, and Cliff Lentz have qualified for the ballot, as have candidates Coleen Mackin, R. Jason Nunan and Arthur S. Sun.
As was done for the March Primary Election, those voting in the November election will receive a ballot along with a postage-paid envelope. Traditional polling places will not be in operation. There will be several Vote Centers available in the County 29 days prior to Election Day, and additional Vote Centers will be available three days prior to Election Day (including weekends). A voter can go to any Vote Center. San Mateo County residents can also register to vote or update registration information up until Election Day at any Vote Center. The Vote Center in Brisbane is available beginning Saturday, October 31st and will be located at Brisbane City Hall, 50 Park Place, Brisbane.
There is also an outdoor ballot drop box located in front of City Hall’s flag pole for dropping off ballots. It's currently locked and the Elections Division will unlock it during the first week of October. Sample ballots are scheduled to be mailed starting September 24, 2020, and formal ballots will be mailed shortly thereafter. The first Vote Centers will be available starting October 6, 2020.
In an effort to prevent crowding at the Vote Centers, voters are strongly encouraged to mail their ballots early, or drop them in the various 24-hour ballot boxes that will be available throughout the County. Your sample ballot will provide a listing of where those boxes are located.
