At their March 18th meeting, the City Council unanimously approved the requirements set forth in San Mateo County's Reusable Bag Ordinance.  The ordinance goes into effect mid-June in Brisbane (Monday, April 22nd for other cities within the County), and requires retailers to stop giving out single-use plastic bags and instead only offer recycled-content paper or reusable bags for a minimum charge of 10 cents per bag.
