County's Youth Climate Ambassadors Program Seeks Applicants for 2022 Cohort

Cassandra Angelica

San Mateo County students in 9th-11th grade are encouraged to apply for the Youth Climate Ambassadors (YCA) program, now accepting applications for the 2022 cohort. The YCA program is a year-long, youth leadership program led by the County's Office of Sustainability in partnership with the San Mateo County Office of Education and Peninsula Clean Energy. Past Youth Climate Ambassadors have taken on projects to conserve essential resources like water and energy at their schools and raise awareness about the impacts of climate change in San Mateo County. Brisbane resident Cassandra Bousquet, along with cohort members Angelica and Katie planned a United Against Climate Change Fair that took place in the Community Park on November 4, 2021.  If you or someone you know is interested, be sure to apply here by Nov. 29, 2021.
