Major Construction Projects Underway in Brisbane

Sierra Point Parkway & US 101 Northbound Off-Ramp & Intersection Improvements

This project installing traffic signals at this location was a mitigation measure required for the HCP/Healthpeak development on the south shore of Sierra Point.

San Francisco Bay Fiber Optic Cables Project

This project is the installation of a submarine fiber optic from the East Bay to our side.  The work was permitted by Caltrans, BCDC, et al.  It's the reason why you may have seen a barge in the Bay this week.  Read more about this project of the California State Lands Commission here.

Installation of Conduit and Fiber Optic on Lagoon Way

This project of Intermountain Infrastructure Group extends an installation that started on Alana in Caltrans' right-of-way.  The City Engineer anticipates the contractor submitting plans to extend the fiber optic from its terminus at Lagoon/Tunnel across the Tunnel Avenue Bridge onto Bayshore.

Lastly, there are two more projects for work in Bayshore Boulevard that are permitted but not yet started:

Intermountain Infrastructure Group Installation of Fiber Infrastructure in Bayshore

This is the project that C/CAG is funding for future support of the Intelligent Transportation System project.  The location map here is only for the southern portion – the project runs the entire length of Bayshore within Brisbane.

Bandwidth Installation of Underground Fiber in Bayshore

This is the final underground project we can permit within the paved portion of Bayshore – after this installation, there is only room left for future utility corridors for city infrastructure.  This location map is also only for the southern reach of the overall project.
