Round Two of Small Business Grants Available Starting July 19th
In 2021 the Brisbane City Council allocated $200,000 of federal relief funds to support small businesses in Brisbane impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of the funds were distributed at the end of 2021 but $38,000 remain and will be distributed in a second application round which opens July 19 at 9am. The application portal will close August 5 at noon. The council has adjusted some of the eligibility requirements to encourage businesses who did not qualify last time, to apply now. Non-profits are ineligible for this program. The Brisbane Chamber of Commerce will administer the grant program on behalf of the City of Brisbane and after evaluating all applications for eligibility, will divide the remaining funds among all the qualified applicants.
