The County of San Mateo is updating the Multijurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) and needs residents' help identifying solutions now to the problems associated with natural hazards such as coastal erosion, earthquake, flooding, extreme heat, and more.  This survey seeks feedback by asking questions related to mitigation actions.  Specifically, it focuses on:

  • How can the we help reduce the risks of hazards in your community?
  •  How can the we help your family and neighbors get organized and prepared before a disaster?

Please take the survey by July 5th so that the County and its partner agencies can best take actions to help community members prepare for natural hazard events.

There will also be a virtual public workshop on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at 4pm.

The Draft Multijurisdictional Plan can be reviewed here when it is released on Aug. 5, 2021.
